How long are the walks?

45 minutes – 1 hour.

What is the difference between a solo vs pack walk?

A solo walk is just me and your dog one on one. All dogs remain on leash and generally I keep the walk in their own neighborhood. A pack walk usually consists of up to 8 dogs.

Do you require dogs to have any vaccinations?

Yes. The required vaccinations for adult dogs are rabies, leptospirosis, and bordetella. Especially if you will be using my boarding or pack walks services. Puppies aren’t allowed to join any pack walks until they have had all their rounds of shots.

Are you a dog trainer?

While dog training accreditation is a goal of mine that I am working towards, I am not currently a dog trainer. I have taken pet CPR and dog behavior sessions online. That, along with my personal and professional experience is what I use to help guide the dogs and owners I work with.

Are you able to work with dogs who have a bite history?

Yes. However, they will need to be muzzled. I believe in using muzzles as a tool to help guide aggressive dogs while keeping everyone involved safe.

Can you walk my dog if they are unspayed/neutered?

Yes I can if they are less than one year with a plan to get it done. Most intact animals are not a great fit for these environments and I like to set the dogs up for success.

Do you have any breed or size restrictions?

None whatsoever! All are welcome!

Do you work with any other animals besides dogs?

No. I’m unfortunately allergic to cats and I don’t have much experience with animals outside of dogs.

What is your cancellation policy?

Walks that are canceled by the owner, with less than 24 hours notice will still be charged. If I need to cancel a walk for any reason, no matter how much notice, you will not be charged.

How much notice do you need for booking boarding or housesitting?

Within 3 weeks of the start date is ideal. There is some emergency flexibility for clients who are already established.

I have an emergency and no one I know is available. Can you board or walk my dog without a new client introduction?

No. I much prefer to go the safest route. If you do have an emergency, my advice is to look up local veterinary pet hospitals and inquire if they offer boarding services. I believe some vet offices do, and it’s probably the safest option.

When is payment due?

Payments must be received no later than 5 days after you have received an invoice. Any payments received after that will be also be subject to a $50 late fee. Clients who are late with payments more than three times will be let go.

How do you handle extreme weather?

If it’s raining hard or extremely hot, the walk is generally cut to 30 minutes. It has been my experience that the dogs generally appreciate a shorter walk on these days too.

How do you handle poor air quality days?

Unfortunately, wildfires have become a regular occurrence and as a result, it is not safe to be outdoors when they’re happening. Walks are limited to 15-minute potty breaks and are subject to cancellation as well depending on the daily AQ number.

If my dog will be boarding with you, may I visit your home to see where they will be staying?

Yes you may.

What should I bring for my dogs stay?

I just need their food and directions for their feeding schedule. It’s always good to pack up some for an extra day or two in case. Particulars if they apply: Medications, supplements, personal muzzle, and dog treats for dogs that have dietary restrictions.

Is it OK for me to request pictures of my dog?

Yes! I try to take as many as I can but will never deny a request for a picture so feel free!

May I join you and my dog on their walk?

During the introduction, I do walk the dog around your neighborhood, and you are more than welcome to join us then. Especially if they are a flight risk, it can be very helpful to have you there to establish some trust. After that, I find it’s more of a distraction and prefer to walk them on my own.
